The 6th of January is an official Spanish holiday. The shops are closed and the children are at home playing with the presents they got today. The festive day starts with a parade the night before and by accident, we were in Nerja and in time to see it.
It resembles a lot the Dutch custom of ‘Sinterklaas’. Lots of sweets that are thrown around and lots of presents for the kids. Our grandchildren too were really excited this morning and anxious to know what they got.
