What stayed the same
If you move to another place you always take yourself with you. Including your annoyances.
In the Netherlands, we had a metal roof and a neighbor with an apple tree. In the fall the birds would pick on the apples which would fall on our metal roof with an enormous bang, making me jump in my chair time and again.
Over here the neighbor has an olive tree. And although olives are way smaller than apples they turn out to make the exact same noise on the plastic roof, making me jumpy all over again.
Oh well, in 5 days we will move from here. Hopefully, the fruit trees will be far away from our next accommodation.
