Águilas is a typical coastal town, about an hour’s drive from where we live right now. It has a historical center, which we haven’t seen today, and also a very modern Auditorio y Palacio de Congresos.
On two sides it’s an unusual building, with curved lines that give a beautiful shade on the facades.
Once I bought a 3D piece of art that I examined not thoroughly enough. When it was placed at home before a window, I discovered that the backside was awful. Ever since it’s a habit of us to say “Hey, people live on the backside too” whenever we see something 3-dimensional that hasn’t all sides taken care of.
And that is exactly what we said to each other when walking around this building. The two sides facing the back were straight walls thrown together with absolutely no fantasy at all.
