This is an abandoned mine. Outside in the fields. Just a ten-minute walk from where we live. No fences, no signs. The pit is covered by iron netting. The wooden headstock is so putrefied that it moves in the wind.
If you walk through the field here, now and again you will find fenced-off holes in the ground. Less developed mines. This place is not far away from where the Roman mines of Mazzarón are. There, until the sixties of the last century, zinc, lead, silver, and aluminum have been excavated. What was mined on this spot is not clear.
