You are here, Usted está aquí. And indeed that is exactly where this map can be found. At the end of itinerario from iglesia a iglesia. The one church is in Isla Plana, where we live, and the other is in La Azohia. Both churches are about as big as the house we had in the Netherlands. Meaning that they are very small.
And still, every Sunday, which will be tomorrow, there is a mass read at the church in Isla Plana. Whether this is also the case in La Azohia I don’t know.
The itinerario is about 4,5 kilometers in length, despite the 5,330 kilometers that are indicated on this map. The 5 meters desnivel might be accurate, because now and then the road goes up and down. On foot, it’s indeed a walk of some two hours, as we experienced today. So baja dificultad is a good estimate.
Before we go walking we usually check on the weather. We’re specifically interested in the rain. We don’t like to get wet. Since our whapps said that rain was forthcoming, we put our rain jackets in a backpack and walked off. After some 50 steps, it started to rain. Not very much but in time enough to put on our rainwear. When we got about halfway, the rain stopped and the sun started to shine, so we became wetter from transpiring than from the rain.
At the end of the walk, in La Azohia, we both ate a montadito con atun and started on the way back. After some 50 steps, it started to rain. Not very much but in time enough to put on our rainwear. When we got about halfway, the rain stopped and the sun started to shine, more or less. We very much enjoyed our walk and will do it any time soon. If not for the rain, by all means for the montaditos con atun.
