At both ends of the village, there are children’s playgrounds, combined with fitness machines for adults, situated on terraces overlooking the surrounding area. When the sun shines in the afternoon the elderly of the village gather there on the benches to discuss the news of the day.
What a surprise when we saw that one of the terraces was partially taped off. As you can see in the picture. Curious as we always are, from the safe side of the tape, we looked down and nosed out what was wrong. A large chunk of the wall which supports the terrace had separated itself from underneath.
Now, what do you think was the news of the day on the benches that weren’t taped of? Guess again: the five and a half million women that were on strike today in Spain!
